Deborah, aka KittieSparkle has studied Middle Eastern dance, literature, music and culture intensely since August 2000. She began her dance studies with Shadia Dalahl from 2000 - 2005, dancing with the Purple Roses of Cairo and then with Desert Wind. Deborah has gone on to create her own dance company, Queens of Chaos. [more]
Hadara has been dancing since 2002 with Deborah. Her specialties are sword, cymbals, cane and veil. She's peformed professionally for the Muskogee Castle, Blue Dome Arts Festival, seminars and private parties. Her double sword solo is always an audience favorite. She's rounded out her studies with notable dancers such as Princess Farhana, Sadie and Karen Barbee. When she's not dancing, she cares for her family of pets, in addition to working as one of the best Veterinary Technicians in Tulsa.
Nadira aka Bubbles Vavoom, has been dancing since childhood. Her formal studies include costuming, theater, ballet and litergical dance. She came to belly dance classes in 2002 as a fun way to get more exercise. She's since become one of our most accomplished dancers. She's a budding burlesque performer, and a published writer in national belly dance magazine “Zaghareet“.
Artemesia has been studying belly dance since 2003. She started out with Deborah and Shadia Dahlal. She's a former member of the Purple Roses of Ciaro, and the Tribal Roses. Her sense of humor has earned her the nickname ”Sarcasmo“. Artemesia has studied with Lucy, Suhaila, Sharon Kajira, Princess Farhanna, Sadie, Karen Barbee, Aziza, Suzanna Del Veccio, Z Helene, Mishal, Zoe Jakes, Kami Liddle, Ansuya and many others. Her dedication to this beautiful dance and the costumes that are requisite, is apparent in her work on stage and with the credit card.
Asiyah al Sune has been dancing since 2004. She began her studies with Jo Lynch and performed with Desert Wind. Later she added studies with Deborah. She is a founding member of the Queens of Chaos and serves as the office manager for the group. Asiyah has performed as a soloist at Shimmyfest and at private parties as well as public events in Tulsa. She's studied with internationally famous teachers such as Princess Farhana, Sadie, Meera, Karen Barbee, Zoe Jakes, Kami Liddle and many others. In addition to being a wonderful performer, she's also a well known color pencil artist here in Tulsa, and the President of the Color Pencil Society.
NariNari has been dancing with the Queens since 2006 and is also an acting Co - Director of the group. Her hard work and dedication are only matched by her cheerful disposition and beautiful dancing.
Zieda joined QOC in 2008. She is known for her joyful expression while dancing. In fact, Zieda translates to "the happy one". Zieda strives to deliver a fun-filled performance and prefers American Cabaret style of bellydance and dancing with a veil or cane. Zieda has studied with renowned artists Aradia, Shauna of Little Rock, Mahmoud Reda and John Compton.
Keilah is one of the newest members of QOC joining in 2010. She began her formal
studies with Ms. Kittie Sparkle in 2009 but has always had a passion for dance.
Her studies include American Cabaret style dance with a focus on advancing her
skills with both zills (finger cymbals) and veil. In addition, she has been
pursuing additional studies on credit cards and costuming with Artemesia.
